Future Conservationists: How education is shaping the planet’s next protectors
Every protected forest, river, and grassland depends on people who understand it and care for it. But how do we inspire the next generation to protect nature, and equip them with the knowledge and skills to make a difference? Join Biome Conservation for a conversation with our conservation partners from Mukutan Conservancy in Kenya, FCAT in Ecuador, Los Amigos and ACCA in Peru, and YAPPENDA in West Papua.
Together, they’ll explore how education, mentorship and hands-on experience are helping young people connect with nature, develop conservation skills and become the scientists, rangers, community leaders and environmental stewards of tomorrow. From engaging young people in the ecosystems around them to creating pathways into conservation, our panelists will share how their programs work, what they’ve learned, and how they’re helping build a future for both people and nature. Join us to discover how investing in the next generation can strengthen conservation for years to come.
